Kingsley Capital Partners had agreed a ground-breaking programme of cannabinoid medical research with Oxford University. Acuitas Communications was enagaged as a strategic communications adviser for the launch of this programme, funded by Kingsley through the creation of Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies.
Over a two month period, Acuitas developed a suite of briefing materials (press release, media lists, Q&A, etc) and, when Kingsley and Oxford pressed the button, assisted by the support of Sir Patrick Stewart, delivered multi-market coverage of the announcement, from Le Figaro to the South China Morning Post. In the UK, coverage included page three of the Financial Times, the Daily Telegraph, and all the tabloids; the announcement also featured on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme, LBC and BBC World's Business Live programme.
